What is PIE?
Partners in Education is a volunteer group designed to promote communication throughout our school, by coordinating fun activities and social functions. Members of PIE help St. John's facilitate our mission glorifying Jesus Christ while assisting parents in the education, training and nurturing of His children for this life and for heaven.
PIE is open to anyone from our school or congregation who is interested in the education of our children and support of our school.
PIE Committees
Members of this committee help organize the Spring Book Fair through Scholastic.
Members of this committee help facilitate St. John's involvement with an outreach event help every year in February at the Washington County Fair Park.
This committee is in charge of organizing volunteers to staff our table, give out information about our church and school, have a craft for children to make or games to play, raffle gift baskets and obtain names for prospective members.
Members of this committee organizes food for the concession stand during soccer, volleyball, basketball and baseball seasons as needed.
Members of this committee assist in a variety of school events throughout the year, including managing food for the school play, Mission Night and Board of Education nights.
Other functions may be added as needed. The committee also organizes student activities and supervision for Board of Education Nights.
This committee helps organize events and activities for school families to promote fellowship and fun.
In the past, the Family Events committee has organized bowling parties, Brewer games, skating parties, skiing and tubing events, community service projects and more.
The committee organizes the PIE-sponsored Lenten Supper, usually chili held on Ash Wednesday.
Members of this committee are in charge of organizing school logowear for purchase at the beginning of the school year. They are usually ordered by Thanksgiving to be delivered by Christmas.
Members of this committee are responsible for coordinating events during Teacher Appreciation Week (the first full week of May) and Teacher Appreciation Day (Tuesday of Teacher Appreciation Week).
Additionally, this committee supports Christmas gifts and Birthday celebrations for our dedicated teachers.
Members of this committee take photos throughout the school year and organize them for the school yearbook.
